Preparation
- Place watermelon, sweetener, and 1 cup of water into a high-speed blender. Blend well.
- Taste the mixture and add more sweetener if desired, then blend again.
- Strain the liquid into a pitcher and add the remaining 1 cup of water.
- Add ice to glasses and pour the agua fresca over the top.
- Add fresh lime juice to each glass and stir. Taste and adjust with more lime if needed.
- Garnish with lime wheels, mint, or watermelon wedges as desired.
Notes
Serve immediately for best flavor. Store leftovers in a sealed pitcher in the refrigerator for up to two days. Skipping the straining will retain more nutrients, though the texture may be less smooth.
