Preparation
- Add 2 cups frozen strawberries and 1/2 cup fresh strawberries to the blender.
- Pour in 1/2 cup lime juice.
- Add 1/2 cup maple syrup or your chosen sweetener.
- Add 60 millilitres non-alcoholic rum or a couple of drops of bitters if desired.
- Blend on low, then increase speed to high until smooth.
- If too thick, add 1/4 cup water gradually until desired texture is achieved.
- Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness as needed.
- Pour into chilled glasses and garnish with a fresh strawberry slice and a lime wedge.
Notes
For a healthier version, reduce sweetener and use more lime juice. This drink stores well in the refrigerator for up to 48 hours or can be frozen for longer storage.
