Main Ingredients
  • 4 slices whole wheat bread
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 6 ounces sliced deli turkey
  • 4 strips thick-sliced applewood smoked bacon Cook until crispy
  • 2 large lettuce leaves Use as sandwich filling
  • 4 slices tomato Add fresh to the sandwich

Method
 

Cooking and Assembly
  1. Cook the bacon strips in a skillet over medium heat until crispy.
  2. While the bacon is cooking, toast your whole wheat bread until golden brown.
  3. Once the bacon is done, drain it on paper towels to remove excess grease.
  4. Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of toasted wheat bread.
  5. Layer two of the slices with turkey, cooked bacon, lettuce leaves, and tomato slices.
  6. Place the remaining slices of bread on top to make two sandwiches.
  7. Cut the sandwiches in half, if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

You can use avocado as a mayo substitute for a healthier version. For a low-carb option, replace the bread with lettuce wraps.
