Cooking and Assembly
- Cook the bacon strips in a skillet over medium heat until crispy.
- While the bacon is cooking, toast your whole wheat bread until golden brown.
- Once the bacon is done, drain it on paper towels to remove excess grease.
- Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of toasted wheat bread.
- Layer two of the slices with turkey, cooked bacon, lettuce leaves, and tomato slices.
- Place the remaining slices of bread on top to make two sandwiches.
- Cut the sandwiches in half, if desired, and serve immediately.
Notes
You can use avocado as a mayo substitute for a healthier version. For a low-carb option, replace the bread with lettuce wraps.
