Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a skillet, caramelize the diced onion over medium heat until they turn golden brown. Set aside to cool slightly.
- Soak the stale bread in milk in a separate bowl until it becomes soft.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, caramelized onions, soaked bread, eggs, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined.
- Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a loaf pan.
- In a small bowl, mix the ketchup, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Spread this glaze over the top of the meatloaf.
Cooking
- Bake for 60-70 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F (71 degrees C).
- Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
