  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice) You can use different types of cheese.
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the meat is browned and the onion is translucent. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and combine well.
  4. In a greased baking dish, layer the beef mixture at the bottom.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the beef mixture.
  6. Top with a layer of frozen tater tots evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until the tater tots are golden brown.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

This dish can be made ahead of time and reheated. Serve with green beans, salad, or simple bread to balance the richness.
