Preparation
- Chop the dark chocolate and place it in a heatproof bowl.
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream until it begins to simmer, then pour it over the chopped chocolate.
- Let it sit for a minute, then stir until melted and smooth.
- Add the orange zest, orange juice, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 2 hours or until firm.
Forming the Truffles
- Scoop out small amounts of the mixture and roll them into balls.
- Roll each truffle in cocoa powder or crushed nuts to coat.
- Store in an airtight container and enjoy during the holidays!
