Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound ground beef Use lean ground beef for less fat.
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded Feel free to use other types of cheese.
  • 1 package wonton wrappers Approximately 40-50 wrappers per package.
  • 1 packet taco seasoning Follow package instructions for usage.
  • Cooking spray To prevent sticking.
Optional Toppings
  • sour cream For serving.
  • salsa For serving.
  • diced tomatoes For serving.
  • chopped lettuce For serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in taco seasoning and follow package instructions.
  4. Remove from heat and mix in shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Spray a muffin tin with cooking spray.
  6. Place a wonton wrapper in each muffin cup, pressing it down to form a cup.
  7. Fill each wonton cup with the beef and cheese mixture.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden and crispy.
  9. Serve warm with optional toppings.

Notes

To store cooked Taco Cups, let them cool to room temperature first. Put them in an airtight container with a paper towel to absorb extra moisture. They can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 2 months. Reheat in the oven to keep them crisp.
