Ingredients
  

Main ingredients
  • 12 pieces large mushrooms Cleaned and stems removed
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs Use gluten-free if necessary
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese (e.g., Parmesan or mozzarella) Choice of cheese can be varied
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh herbs (e.g., parsley, thyme) Any fresh herbs can be used
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Clean the mushrooms and remove the stems, finely chopping the stems.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat, add the chopped mushroom stems and garlic, and sauté for 3-4 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, combine the sautéed mixture with breadcrumbs, cheese, herbs, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stuff the mushroom caps with the mixture.
Cooking
  1. Arrange the stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Serve warm.

Notes

Stuffed mushrooms can be served with dipping sauces like marinara or ranch. They can also be stored in an airtight container for up to three days in the refrigerator.
