Preparation
- In a medium bowl, mix the sliced strawberries with sugar or your chosen sugar alternative and 1 cup of water.
- Cover the mixture and leave it in the fridge for about 4 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
- After 4 hours, stir the mixture well, then pour it into a blender. Blend on high until smooth.
- Strain the blended mixture through a wire mesh strainer over a jug or bowl to remove the pulp.
- Add the remaining 3 cups of water to the fresh strawberry juice and stir to combine.
Serving
- Chill the Strawberry Fresh Water in the fridge until you are ready to serve or serve immediately over ice.
- Garnish each glass with lime wheels and mint. For added acidity, add a squeeze of lime juice right before serving.
Notes
Store in the fridge for up to three days. Make a large batch to enjoy throughout the week. Freezing not recommended due to texture change.
