Ingredients
  

For the Base
  • 2 cups strawberries, sliced Fresh strawberries for natural sweetness.
  • 1/2 cup sugar or sugar alternative Can use monk fruit sweetener.
  • 4 cups water Divided into portions.
For Garnishing
  • 1 unit lime, sliced Use for garnish.
  • few sprigs mint Fresh mint for garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, mix the sliced strawberries with sugar or your chosen sugar alternative and 1 cup of water.
  2. Cover the mixture and leave it in the fridge for about 4 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. After 4 hours, stir the mixture well, then pour it into a blender. Blend on high until smooth.
  4. Strain the blended mixture through a wire mesh strainer over a jug or bowl to remove the pulp.
  5. Add the remaining 3 cups of water to the fresh strawberry juice and stir to combine.
Serving
  1. Chill the Strawberry Fresh Water in the fridge until you are ready to serve or serve immediately over ice.
  2. Garnish each glass with lime wheels and mint. For added acidity, add a squeeze of lime juice right before serving.

Notes

Store in the fridge for up to three days. Make a large batch to enjoy throughout the week. Freezing not recommended due to texture change.
