Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt. This is your dry mix.
- In another bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract into the butter mixture.
- Mix in the cream cheese until everything is combined and smooth.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto a baking sheet, leaving space between them.
- Make an indent in the center of each cookie with your finger or the back of a spoon.
- Fill the indent with a small amount of strawberry jam.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for 4-5 days or freeze for 1-2 months.
