Starbucks Copycat Banana Bread

A soft, moist loaf reminiscent of the famous Starbucks treat, made with ripe bananas, butter, and walnuts.

Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients
  • 3 pieces ripe bananas, mashed Use overripe for best flavor
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted Allow to cool slightly before combining
  • 1 cup sugar Can substitute brown sugar for a richer flavor
  • 2 large eggs At room temperature for better mixing
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Pure vanilla enhances flavor
Dry Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda Helps the bread rise
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt Balances sweetness
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour Use spoon and level technique for measuring
Add-Ins
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped Optional, can be omitted or replaced

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the mashed bananas with the melted butter.
  3. Stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
Mixing
  1. Add the baking soda and salt, then mix in the flour until just combined.
  2. Fold in the walnuts.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  2. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  3. Allow to cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or in the refrigerator for up to a week. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
