Method
Make the Rose Syrup
- Combine water and sugar or sweetener of choice over medium heat, stirring occasionally until dissolved.
- Turn the heat to low, add rose petals, and stir until all petals are wet.
- Leave on low heat, stirring occasionally, until most of the color fades from the petals (about 10 minutes).
- Remove from heat and allow to steep for another 10 minutes.
- Strain the mixture to cool and create the rose syrup.
Combine and Serve
- In a pitcher, combine the rose syrup, lemon juice, and soda water, stirring gently to combine.
- Serve in ice-filled glasses, garnished with lemon slices and edible rose petals.
Notes
For storage, the rose syrup can be kept in the refrigerator for up to one week in an airtight container. Add sparkling water right before serving to maintain its fizz. Avoid freezing.
