Ingredients
  

For the Beef Patties
  • 1 lb Lean Ground Beef
  • 1/3 cup Bread Crumbs
  • 2 tsp Ketchup Used for both patties and gravy
  • 1 tsp Mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire Used for both patties and gravy
  • 1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Onion Powder
  • to taste Salt and Pepper
For the Gravy
  • 2 packets Brown Gravy Mix
  • 2 cups Hot Water
  • 1 tsp Ketchup For flavoring
  • 1/2 tsp Worcestershire For flavoring

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, mix all the pattie ingredients together. Use your hands to massage the mixture until everything is well combined.
  2. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Shape the meat mixture into patties. Once the oil is hot, add the patties to the skillet. Cook them on both sides until they are no longer pink in the center.
  4. Lower the heat to low.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the brown gravy mix and hot water until it is blended well. Then, whisk in 1 teaspoon of ketchup and 1/2 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce.
  6. Pour the gravy over the patties in the skillet.
  7. Allow the dish to simmer until the gravy is warm and thick.

Notes

Serve with mashed potatoes or rice, and enjoy with vegetables for a complete meal. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. For freezing, allow to cool and place in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months.
