Ingredients
  

Pizza Base
  • 1 12 inch store-bought or homemade pizza crust
Sauce and Cheese
  • 1/3 cup Alfredo sauce or pizza sauce Use your preference for sauce.
  • 1.5 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
Seafood
  • 4 oz medium raw shrimp, shelled and deveined Fresh or thawed.
  • 4 oz calamari rings Fresh or thawed.
Vegetables and Seasoning
  • 2 Tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt Or to taste.
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 small red onion, sliced
  • 1/2 bell pepper, sliced (any color)
  • 1/4 cup Kalamata olives, pitted and sliced in half
  • to taste fresh parsley or basil leaves, for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Heat the butter over medium heat in a skillet.
  2. Add the shrimp and cook for 30 seconds on each side.
  3. Toss in the calamari and cook for another 30 seconds.
  4. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Add the crushed garlic and continue to cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  6. Remove the skillet from heat, placing the seafood mixture in a bowl to drain any excess liquid.
  7. Spread the sauce evenly over the pizza base on the pizza pan.
  8. Generously top it with cheese.
  9. Scatter the seafood mixture, bell pepper slices, and olive halves cut side down over the cheese.
Baking
  1. Bake according to your crust instructions until the edges are golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  2. Garnish with chopped parsley or fresh basil leaves before serving.
  3. Slice and serve while warm.

Notes

Seafood pizza can be served hot with a side salad for added nutrients. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days, reheating in the oven.
