Method
 

Preparation
  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Place the Rice Krispies in a large bowl and set aside.
Cooking
  1. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
  2. Add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted.
  3. Remove from heat and add red food coloring to achieve the desired hue.
  4. Carefully add the Rice Krispies cereal and stir until well-coated.
Shaping
  1. Using an ice cream scoop or a measuring tool, drop portions of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
  2. Form each mound into a slightly oblong shape to resemble a brain.
  3. Use the handle of a butter knife to create indents for the classic brain look.
  4. Paint 'blood' streaks with red food coloring if desired.
Cooling
  1. Allow to cool completely before serving.
  2. Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
