Preparation
- Gather all ingredients on a clean countertop.
- Boil 4 cups of filtered water in a saucepan.
- Rinse the lemon balm leaves under cold water and pat dry.
- Once boiling, remove water from heat and add the lemon balm leaves; steep for 10-15 minutes.
- Strain out the leaves, stir in lemon juice, and sweeten with honey.
- Serve hot or over ice, garnished with extra lemon slices or mint sprigs.
Notes
For diabetic-friendly versions, skip the honey or use a zero-calorie sweetener. Store cooled tea in a sealed pitcher in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. For freezing, leave out sweetener and add upon thawing.
