Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the stick of butter in a 9x13-inch baking dish and put it in the oven to melt completely.
- In a medium bowl, combine the self-rising flour, sugar, and milk. Whisk until the batter is smooth.
- Once the butter is melted, carefully remove the hot dish from the oven and pour the prepared batter directly over the melted butter without stirring.
- Spoon the undrained canned peaches evenly over the batter.
- If desired, sprinkle a little cinnamon over the top.
Baking
- Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
- Let the cobbler cool on a wire rack for at least 15 minutes before serving.
Notes
Consider substituting granulated sugar with a natural sweetener for a healthier version. Store leftover cobbler in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. It can also be frozen for up to three months.
