  • 1 package Oreo Cookies Main ingredient, gives the dessert its signature flavor.
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese Use softened for easier mixing.
Coatings and Decorations
  • 1 cup White Chocolate For coating the Oreo balls.
  • 1 cup Red Candy Melts For decoration.
  • 1 cup Blue Candy Melts For decoration.
  • 1 cup Sprinkles Choose red, white, and blue for festive touch.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by crushing them in a zip-top bag.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreos with softened cream cheese and stir until well combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into small balls, about one inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Freeze the rolled Oreo balls for about 30 minutes.
Coating and Decoration
  1. Melt the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, heating in 30-second intervals and stirring in between.
  2. Dip each frozen Oreo ball into the melted white chocolate, allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
  3. Melt the red and blue candy melts according to package instructions and drizzle them on top of the white chocolate-coated Oreo balls.
  4. Finish by adding sprinkles for a festive look.
Serving
  1. Refrigerate the decorated Oreo balls until the chocolate is set. Serve at your July 4th celebration.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. You can freeze them for longer storage. For a healthier option, use reduced-fat cream cheese or sugar-free candy melts.
