Preparation
- Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Place the torn croissant pieces into the dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the egg mixture over the croissants, ensuring they are well soaked.
- Add in the shredded cheese and meat (if using) and gently mix.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and refrigerate overnight.
Baking
- In the morning, remove from the fridge and let it sit for 30 minutes before baking.
- Bake covered with foil for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until set and golden.

Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or oven. To freeze, bake fully, cool, wrap, and store for up to 2 months.
