  • 1.5 cups milk (or almond milk for dairy-free) Dairy-free option available
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.25 cups maple syrup or honey Use maple syrup for a vegan option
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 0.5 tsp baking powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
Fruits & Nuts
  • 1 large apple, diced Leave skin on for more fiber
  • 0.25 cups chopped walnuts or pecans (optional) Can substitute with sunflower seeds for nut-free option

Method
 

Preheat & Prep
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
Mix the Ingredients
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
  2. Stir in oats, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Fold in diced apples and nuts (if using).
Bake
  1. Pour the mixture into the greased baking dish and spread evenly.
  2. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set.
Serve
  1. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy warm, or refrigerate and reheat for a quick breakfast.
