Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the creamed mixture, alternating with milk.
  5. Mix until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Frosting
  1. Once cooled, frost as desired and decorate with fresh fruits or other edible decorations. Serve and enjoy!
