Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions; drain well.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, cooked macaroni, half of the cheddar cheese, milk, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Mix everything together until well combined.
Baking
- Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish. Spread it evenly and top with the remaining shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 45-55 minutes, until the meatloaf is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Store leftovers in the fridge for 3-4 days. Can be frozen before baking for up to 3 months.
