  • 6 sheets Orange Tissue Paper Primary material used to create the pumpkin's body.
  • 6 sheets Green Tissue Paper Used to form the pumpkin's leafy top.
  • 1 roll Twine Used to hold the tissue paper in place.
  • 1 piece Fine Tip Black Sharpie or Washable Black Marker Used to draw faces on the pumpkins.
  • 6 pieces Large Smartie or Rockets Candy Money Acts as a decorative element inside the pumpkin.
  • 6 pieces Buttons, Foam Craft Circles, or Flat White Breathmints Can serve as eyes for your jack-o'-lantern faces.

Method
 

Crafting the Pumpkins
  1. Cut circles of orange tissue paper measuring about 4.5 inches in diameter.
  2. Cut circles of green tissue paper about 5.5 inches wide.
  3. Stack two orange circles and place one green circle on top.
  4. Place a piece of candy money in the center of the stacked layers.
  5. Insert a Tootsie Pop on top of the candy money.
  6. Gently fold the orange tissue paper around the lollipop to create the pumpkin shape.
  7. Pinch the top to secure the shape of the pumpkin.
  8. Cut a piece of twine, wrap it around the lollipop, and tie it securely.
  9. Use the fine-tip Sharpie or washable black marker to draw fun jack-o'-lantern faces.

Notes

Choose good-quality tissue paper and pre-cut circles for group projects to save time. Store finished pumpkins in a cool, dry place.
