Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven and bake fries until crisp and golden, according to package instructions or until golden.
  2. Spread fries in a single layer on a sheet pan. For crispier fries, toss with 1 tablespoon of oil before baking.
Cooking the Steak
  1. Pat the ribeye dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat a skillet until hot, add a small amount of oil, and sear the steak for 2–3 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to your preferred doneness.
  3. Let the steak rest for 5 minutes to retain juices.
Cooking the Vegetables
  1. In the same pan, add sliced peppers, onions, and mushrooms.
  2. Sauté until soft and lightly browned, then stir in Worcestershire-style sauce and cook for an additional minute.
Assembling the Fries
  1. Slice the steak thinly against the grain.
  2. Layer the baked fries on an oven-safe tray or sheet pan.
  3. Top with provolone cheese, followed by sliced steak and the pepper-onion-mushroom mix.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella over the top.
Finishing Touch
  1. Place under a hot broiler for 1–3 minutes until the cheese melts and bubbles. Watch closely to prevent burning.

Notes

For a healthier version, select lean meats, use less cheese, and increase vegetable portions to lower calorie counts.
