  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tbsp culinary lavender
  • 2 bags Earl Grey tea
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, salt, and baking powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, cream the unsalted butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Grind the lavender and the contents of the Earl Grey tea bags into a fine powder, then add to the butter mixture along with the egg and vanilla extract.
  5. Mix well to combine all ingredients.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, combining until a dough forms.
  7. Shape the dough into balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are just golden.
  2. Let cookies cool completely on a wire rack for the best texture.

Notes

These cookies can be frozen for longer storage. They stay fresh for 3–5 days at room temperature or up to 2 months frozen.
