  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Use gluten-free tamari for gluten-free version.
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes Adjust to taste.
  • 2 cups cooked rice Can use white or brown rice.
  • 2 green onions sliced For garnish.

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  2. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes; cook for another 2-3 minutes to combine flavors.
  4. Serve the beef mixture over cooked rice and top with sliced green onions.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add more red pepper flakes. Consider serving with a soft fried egg on top for extra protein.
