Method
Cooking the Sausages
- Cook the bratwurst by grilling or frying them until they are fully cooked and browned, usually about 10-15 minutes.
Preparing the Sauce
- While the sausages are cooking, prepare the curry ketchup sauce by combining the ketchup, curry powder, smoked paprika, vinegar, and sugar in a saucepan.
- Cook together over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally to blend the flavors.
Serving
- Once the bratwurst is cooked, slice them into bite-sized pieces.
- Drizzle the curry ketchup sauce over the sliced bratwurst.
- Serve the dish hot, and enjoy with fries or bread rolls on the side.
Notes
For a healthier version, use turkey or chicken bratwurst. Serve with zoodles or cauliflower rice for a low-carb meal. Can also be made using an air fryer for a lower-fat method. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days or freeze for longer storage.
