Ingredients
  

Sausages
  • 4 pieces bratwurst sausages
Curry Ketchup Sauce
  • 1 cup tomato ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon curry powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sugar Optional: use a sugar substitute for a diabetic-friendly version.
  • Optional cayenne pepper Add for extra heat.
  • Optional garlic powder Add for extra flavor.

Method
 

Cooking the Sausages
  1. Cook the bratwurst by grilling or frying them until they are fully cooked and browned, usually about 10-15 minutes.
Preparing the Sauce
  1. While the sausages are cooking, prepare the curry ketchup sauce by combining the ketchup, curry powder, smoked paprika, vinegar, and sugar in a saucepan.
  2. Cook together over medium heat for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally to blend the flavors.
Serving
  1. Once the bratwurst is cooked, slice them into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Drizzle the curry ketchup sauce over the sliced bratwurst.
  3. Serve the dish hot, and enjoy with fries or bread rolls on the side.

Notes

For a healthier version, use turkey or chicken bratwurst. Serve with zoodles or cauliflower rice for a low-carb meal. Can also be made using an air fryer for a lower-fat method. Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-4 days or freeze for longer storage.
