Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Mixing
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined.
- Gently fold in the Halloween M&Ms.
Baking
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each.
- Top each cookie with candy eyeballs and sprinkles.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set, but centers may still look soft.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Consider substituting some all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour for added nutrients. These cookies store well in an airtight container for up to a week or can be frozen for longer storage.
