Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla, mixing well after each addition.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually blend the dry mixture into the wet mixture, stirring until no flour is visible.
- Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them apart.
Baking
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set; the centers will look slightly soft.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
Serve warm with a glass of milk or with ice cream. Can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week or frozen for up to three months.
