Ingredients

Steak and Marinade
  • 1 lb beef steak (sirloin or tenderloin) Cut into bite-sized pieces.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese To sprinkle over steak after cooking.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
Mashed Potatoes
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes Prepared using boiled potatoes.
  • 2 tablespoons butter For mashing potatoes.
  • 1/4 cup milk For creaminess.

Method

Preparation
  1. Cut the beef steak into bite-sized pieces, ensuring uniform size for even cooking.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Coat the steak bites in the marinade and let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated steak bites until browned and cooked to your desired doneness, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the cooked steak in the skillet, allowing it to melt slightly.
Mashed Potatoes
  1. Boil potatoes in a pot of water until tender, then drain and mash with butter and milk until creamy. Add salt and pepper to taste.
Serving
  1. Serve garlic Parmesan steak bites over the creamy mashed potatoes, drizzled with any remaining skillet juices and garnished with chopped parsley.

Notes

Store leftover steak bites and mashed potatoes in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. If freezing, portion and store for up to two months.
