Method
Preparation
- Season the cut sirloin steak with minced garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper, ensuring each piece is evenly coated.
Cook the Fries
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Spread the potato fries on a baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle with salt. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
Prepare the Rice
- In a pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 cup of rice and a pinch of salt. Lower the heat, cover, and simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork and garnish with parsley.
Cook the Steak & Veggies
- In a skillet, melt 2 tbsp of butter with 1 tbsp of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned steak and cook for 3-4 minutes until browned, then remove.
- Add the sliced red onion and cherry tomatoes to the skillet, sauté for about 5 minutes until softened, then mix back in the steak for a quick heating.
Plate & Serve
- Arrange the steak bites alongside the crispy fries and fluffy rice on each plate. Add sautéed veggies and finish with a sprinkle of parsley.
Notes
For a healthier option, consider air frying the fries. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
