Preparation
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the rest and set the pasta aside.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, add the minced garlic and optional red pepper flakes. Sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
Combining
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing everything together. If the mixture seems dry, add reserved pasta water a little at a time.
- Stir in the lemon juice and chopped parsley for a fresh finish.
Serving
- Plate your Garlic Butter Shrimp Pasta, garnishing with additional parsley if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
