Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg yolk and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until a dough forms.
- Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet.
- Use your thumb to make an indentation in the center of each cookie ball.
- Fill each indentation with a teaspoon of fruit jam.
Baking
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
Store cooled cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days. For longer storage, freeze unbaked dough balls or baked cookies. Use sugar-free jam for a healthier option.
