  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed Use overripe bananas for better sweetness.
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar Can be reduced for a healthier option.
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour Can be substituted with almond flour for gluten-free.
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 4x8 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth. Stir in the melted butter.
  3. Mix in the baking soda and salt.
  4. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until combined.
  5. Finally, mix in the flour until just incorporated. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Baking
  1. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Let cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Serve sliced with nut butter or a sprinkle of cinnamon for added flavor. Can freeze for up to 2 months.
