Materials Needed
  • 1 unit Egg Carton You can use either cardboard or foam egg cartons.
  • 1 set Paint Black, white, and other colors of your choice for decorating the crafts.
  • 1 set Markers To add details like eyes or patterns once the paint dries.
  • 1 set Googly Eyes Optional, for additional decoration.
  • 1 set String or Yarn Optional, for hanging some of the crafts.
  • 1 set Glitter or Stickers Optional for extra decoration.
Tools Needed
  • 1 unit Scissors Used to cut the egg carton.
  • 1 unit Paintbrushes Required for applying paint.
  • 1 unit Glue Craft glue or hot glue to hold projects together.
  • 1 set Cupcake Liners Optional, for decoration or as spider bodies.

Method
 

Create Bats
  1. Cut the egg carton into sections with two cups for the bat's body and wings.
  2. Paint the cups black and let them dry completely.
  3. Cut out bat wings from another egg carton section, then paint and glue them to the bat's body.
  4. Add googly eyes and any additional decoration like glitter or stickers.
Make Ghosts
  1. Take a single cup from the egg carton and cut it down to the desired height.
  2. Paint the cup white and allow it to dry.
  3. Use a marker to draw a spooky face on your ghost.
  4. Cut a length of string or yarn, poke a small hole in the top of the cup, and tie the string through for hanging.
Assemble Spiders
  1. Take one of the egg carton cups and cut off the top, leaving a base.
  2. Paint the cut piece black or any color you prefer.
  3. Cut pipe cleaners into equal lengths and poke them into the sides of the cup for legs.
  4. Glue googly eyes on the top to give your spider some character.
Create a Pumpkin
  1. Take two egg carton cups and paint them orange to form the pumpkin shape.
  2. Stack them on top of each other and glue them in place.
  3. Cut a small piece from a stick or bottle cap to serve as the pumpkin's stem and glue it on top.
  4. Decorate as desired to add a face or vines.
