Preparation
  1. Muddle the strawberries and sugar or sweetener in a glass to release the juices, making the pieces small enough to fit through a straw.
  2. Add lime juice to the muddled mixture and stir well to combine.
  3. Clap the mint leaves in your hands to release their scent, then add to the mixture.
  4. Fill the glass with ice and top with soda water, stirring gently to combine.
  5. Garnish with extra mint and strawberry slices.

Notes

Store leftover muddled strawberry mix in a sealed jar for up to 48 hours. Freeze muddled strawberries in ice cube trays for quick prep later. Only add soda water right before serving to maintain fizziness.
