  • 1 piece Pine Cones Foundation for the craft, representing the pumpkin’s shape.
  • 1 bottle Orange Acrylic Paint For the classic pumpkin color.
  • 1 piece Cereal Box or Cardboard For creating shapes for leaves or stems.
  • 1 roll Green Ribbon or Twine To tie around the top, mimicking a pumpkin vine.
  • 1 optional Glitter For adding sparkle to the pumpkins.
  • 1 optional Leaves Real or faux leaves for extra decoration.

Method
 

Crafting Steps
  1. Gather your materials and tools to ensure everything is organized.
  2. Clean the pine cones with water and let them dry completely.
  3. Apply a layer of orange acrylic paint to the pine cones and allow it to dry.
  4. Cut a shape resembling a stem from the cereal box or cardboard and paint it if desired.
  5. Once the paint on the pine cones is dry, attach the stem using a hot glue gun.
  6. Tie a piece of green ribbon or twine around the top below the stem.
  7. Decorate the base with leaves if using.
  8. If desired, sprinkle glitter on the wet paint and let dry completely.
  9. Allow all glue and decorations to dry (15–30 minutes) before displaying.
  10. Find a spot to display your finished pine cone pumpkins.

Notes

Choose clean and whole pine cones for best results. Adult supervision is advised when using scissors and hot glue guns. Use outdoor-sealed acrylic paint if displaying outside.
