Easy Fudge

A quick and creamy fudge made with chocolate and sweetened condensed milk, perfect for parties or as a snack.

Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)
  • 2 cups chocolate chips, semisweet
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • butter or cooking spray For greasing the pan
Optional Add-ins
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans Optional, for a nutty flavor

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Get out and measure all of your ingredients.
  2. Butter or spray a square 8x8 or 9x9 pan and line with parchment paper. Set aside.
Cooking
  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, heat chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk on high for 1 minute and 30 seconds.
  2. Remove from microwave, let sit for 1 minute, then stir to combine.
  3. If needed, put back in the microwave and heat an additional 30 seconds.
  4. Stir until chips are completely melted and chocolate is smooth.
  5. Add vanilla extract and combine.
  6. If desired, add walnuts or pecans.
  7. Pour fudge into the prepared pan.
Setting
  1. Place pan in the fridge for at least an hour to cool and set.
  2. Once cooled completely, remove from fridge and cut into squares.
Serving
  1. Serve small squares on a plate, optionally pairing with hot drinks or fresh fruit.

Notes

Store fudge in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days. For longer storage, freeze in an airtight bag or container with wax paper between layers.
