For the Dirt Cups
  • 1 package Oreo cookies For crushing
  • 2 cups chocolate pudding Prepared according to package directions
  • 1 cup milk For mixing with pudding
  • 1 tub whipped topping To fold into the pudding
  • as needed Easter Peeps For decoration
  • as needed candy eggs Chocolate or candy-coated eggs
  • as needed cupcake liners or cups For serving the cups

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs and set aside.
  2. In a mixing bowl, prepare the chocolate pudding according to the package directions using the milk.
  3. Once the pudding is set, fold in the whipped topping until well combined.
Assembly
  1. In serving cups or cupcake liners, layer the chocolate pudding mixture and the crushed Oreo cookies.
  2. Top with additional crushed Oreos.
  3. Decorate with Easter Peeps and candy eggs on top.
  4. Refrigerate for about 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Best served chilled. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 days. Avoid freezing as it can affect the texture.
