Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 2 lbs chicken thighs or breasts Use your preferred cut of chicken.
  • 1 cup teriyaki sauce Store-bought or homemade.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
Optional Additions
  • 1 cup broccoli florets Optional for added nutrition.
  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced Add for crunch and color.
  • 2 cups cooked rice or noodles For serving.
  • to taste sesame seeds For garnish.
  • to taste green onions For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the chicken thighs or breasts at the bottom of the crockpot, spread out evenly.
  2. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the chicken, and add the minced garlic.
  3. If using, add broccoli and bell peppers.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
Serving
  1. Once cooked, shred the chicken with two forks, and stir to combine with the sauce and veggies.
  2. Serve over cooked rice or noodles, garnishing with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator. Can also be frozen for about 3 months.
