Ingredients
  

Base Ingredients
  • 1/3 cup pink dragonfruit (fresh or thawed) Use fresh or thawed dragonfruit.
  • 1 small lime, chopped (or half a large lime) Chop into small pieces.
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons sugar or monkfruit powder Adjust sweetness to taste.
Flavor Enhancers
  • 10 leaves mint leaves Fresh mint for an aromatic flavor.
  • 1 oz non-alcoholic rum (optional) Skip for a completely alcohol-free drink.
  • to top none soda water Add according to preference.
Garnish
  • to taste none Extra dragonfruit, lime, or mint For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Muddle the base ingredients: Place dragonfruit, chopped lime, and sugar into a tall glass. Use a muddler to press down and muddle the ingredients until the juices have released.
  2. Add the mint: Clap the mint leaves together in your hands to release some of the oils. Add them to the glass, pressing down gently with the muddler again.
  3. Add ice: Fill the glass with ice cubes to chill the drink.
  4. Mix in the rum: Add non-alcoholic rum if desired.
  5. Top it off: Pour soda water over the ice to give the drink a bubbly finish.
  6. Stir gently: Using a spoon, stir gently to combine all the ingredients.
  7. Garnish: Add extra dragonfruit slices, mint leaves, and a wedge of lime for decoration.
  8. Serve in batches: If making multiple servings, muddle ingredients in a pitcher first, then add ice, rum, and soda water, and serve over ice.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh; store any leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
