Main Ingredients
  • 3-4 pounds chuck roast Choose a good quality piece for best flavor.
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix Use your favorite brand.
  • 1 packet au jus gravy mix For added flavor.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter Can substitute with margarine.
  • to taste pepperoncini peppers Adjust quantity based on your heat preference.
  • to taste teaspoon salt To enhance flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the chuck roast in the slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning and au jus seasoning over the roast.
  3. Add the pepperoncini peppers on top of the roast.
  4. Place the butter on top of the seasonings.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4-5 hours, until the meat is tender.
  2. Shred the meat with two forks and serve with the cooking juices.

Notes

Store leftovers in airtight containers in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. For freezing, shred the roast and mix with juices; store in a freezer-safe container for up to 3 months.
