  • 0.25 cups Light Brown Sugar Can be reduced or omitted for a low-carb version.
  • 1 tablespoons Garlic Powder Enhances flavor.
  • 1 tablespoons Onion Powder Adds another layer of flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Liberally spray the inside of a large crockpot or slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Season the trimmed chicken breasts with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
Cooking
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, light brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Whisk until well combined.
  2. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken breasts, ensuring all chicken is coated.
  3. Cover and cook on high for 2.5 to 3 hours or on low for 5 to 6 hours.
  4. Use a meat thermometer to check that the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  5. Shred the chicken in the crockpot or serve it whole, allowing it to soak up the sauce.
Serving
  1. Serve on buns for sandwiches or use in tacos, salads, or nachos.

Notes
