Method

Preparation
  1. Prepare Your Crockpot: Liberally spray the inside of a large crockpot with non-stick cooking spray or use disposable liners.
  2. Season the Chicken: Trim the fat off the chicken breasts, pat them dry, and season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
  3. Mix the Sauce: In a mixing bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, light brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce. Whisk until smooth.
Cooking
  1. Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the crockpot. Cover and cook on high for 2.5 to 3 hours or low for 5 to 6 hours.
  2. Check that the chicken has reached an internal temperature of 165°F using a meat thermometer.
Finishing Touches
  1. Shred the Chicken: Once cooked, shred the chicken in the crockpot using two forks to absorb extra sauce.
  2. Serve and Enjoy: Serve on buns, over rice, in tacos, or enjoy on its own.

Notes
