Method
 

Preparation
  1. Place the chopped carrots, potatoes, and quartered onion in the bottom of the Crock Pot.
  2. Season the chuck roast generously with salt and pepper and place it on top of the chopped vegetables.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and minced garlic, and stir until well-mixed.
  4. Pour the mixture over the roast.
  5. Sprinkle any desired herbs over the top of the roast.
Cooking
  1. Cover the Crock Pot with its lid and set it to cook on low for 8-10 hours, or on high for 4-5 hours.
  2. Ensure the meat is tender and easily shredded before serving.
Serving
  1. Serve the chuck roast warm with the vegetables and enjoy.
