Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- Begin by finely chopping your shrimp and chicken into small pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, chicken, and your choice of finely chopped vegetables.
- Season the mixture with minced garlic, grated ginger, and soy sauce for flavor. Mix everything well to ensure flavors are well distributed.
Assembly
- Fill a shallow dish with warm water and soak each rice paper wrapper for about 10-15 seconds until pliable.
- Lay a soaked rice paper wrapper on a flat surface. Place a small spoonful of the filling mixture in the center.
- Fold the sides over the filling, then roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top, sealing the dumpling completely. Repeat until all filling is used.
Cooking
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly brush the dumplings with a little oil for an extra crispy finish.
- Place the dumplings in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd them. Air fry for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Serving
- Once cooked, carefully remove the dumplings from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
- Enjoy as is or with a dipping sauce made from soy sauce, vinegar, and a hint of chili.
Notes
For a balanced meal, serve alongside a salad or steamed vegetables. Store in the refrigerator for up to three days. Feel free to experiment with fillings, such as tofu for a vegetarian version.
