Ingredients

Dumpling Filling
  • 1 pack Rice Paper Wrappers Gluten-free and easy to work with.
  • 8 oz Shrimp Fresh or frozen, high in protein.
  • 8 oz Chicken Use skinless chicken breast for a healthier option.
  • 1 cup Chopped Vegetables (carrots, cabbage, bell peppers) Adds vitamins, minerals, and fiber.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced for flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger Grated for flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce For seasoning the filling.

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by finely chopping your shrimp and chicken into small pieces.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped shrimp, chicken, and your choice of finely chopped vegetables.
  3. Season the mixture with minced garlic, grated ginger, and soy sauce for flavor. Mix everything well to ensure flavors are well distributed.
Assembly
  1. Fill a shallow dish with warm water and soak each rice paper wrapper for about 10-15 seconds until pliable.
  2. Lay a soaked rice paper wrapper on a flat surface. Place a small spoonful of the filling mixture in the center.
  3. Fold the sides over the filling, then roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top, sealing the dumpling completely. Repeat until all filling is used.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly brush the dumplings with a little oil for an extra crispy finish.
  3. Place the dumplings in the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd them. Air fry for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
Serving
  1. Once cooked, carefully remove the dumplings from the air fryer and let them cool slightly before serving.
  2. Enjoy as is or with a dipping sauce made from soy sauce, vinegar, and a hint of chili.

Notes

For a balanced meal, serve alongside a salad or steamed vegetables. Store in the refrigerator for up to three days. Feel free to experiment with fillings, such as tofu for a vegetarian version.
