Ingredients
Method
Marinating the Chicken
- Soak the chicken drumsticks in buttermilk with seasonings of paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
Dredging the Chicken
- After marinating, remove the chicken and let the excess buttermilk drip off. Dredge each piece in seasoned flour for an even coating.
Frying the Chicken
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Place the coated chicken in the hot oil and fry until deep golden brown and crispy, about 12-15 minutes per piece, flipping halfway through. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Preparing the Salad
- While the chicken is frying, toss together lettuce, sliced cucumber, and cherry tomatoes in a bowl.
Serving
- Remove the chicken from the skillet and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Serve alongside the fresh salad.
Notes
For a healthier option, use an air fryer instead of frying in oil. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
