For the Honey Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar Provides tanginess.
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic Enhances flavor profile.
For Garnish (Optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cut the boneless chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg. Place the cornstarch in another dish nearby.
Coating the Chicken
  1. Dip each chicken piece first into the flour mixture, then into the beaten egg, and finally coat with cornstarch.
  2. Set the coated chicken pieces aside on a plate.
Frying
  1. In your deep frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat to about 350°F (175°C).
  2. Carefully add the coated chicken pieces to the hot oil, cooking until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove the chicken from the oil and let it drain on paper towels.
Making the Honey Sauce
  1. In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and minced garlic. Heat over low flame until warm.
Final Assembly
  1. Once all chicken pieces are fried, place them in a large bowl and pour the honey sauce over them. Toss to coat evenly.
  2. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For a healthier version, consider air frying the chicken instead of deep frying. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for about 3-4 days in the refrigerator.
