Ingredients
  

For the shrimp coating
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour You can substitute with whole-wheat flour for a healthier option.
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
For the shrimp
  • 1 pound shrimp, raw, deveined, tail removed
For the buffalo sauce
  • 1/4 cup hot sauce
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter You can substitute half with olive oil for a healthier option.
For cooking
  • Cooking spray or parchment paper For the air fryer basket.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  2. Coat the shrimp evenly with the flour mixture. Cover and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes to help the batter stick.
Cooking
  1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter and hot sauce together over medium-high heat. Simmer for about 3-5 minutes, then remove from heat.
  2. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray or line it with parchment paper. Place the shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  3. Set the air fryer to 390°F and cook the shrimp for 5-9 minutes, until they are golden brown and crispy.
  4. Once cooked, transfer the shrimp to a bowl and toss them in the buffalo sauce.
Serving
  1. Serve the buffalo shrimp hot with your favorite dipping sauce, celery sticks, and carrot sticks.

Notes

Store leftover shrimp in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Can reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 3–4 minutes until crisp. For meal prep, prep shrimp ahead and coat them, storing in the fridge for up to 24 hours. Make sauce in advance and warm before tossing with shrimp.
