Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls 8 count each can
  • 5 slices Provolone cheese, cut in halves
  • 9 oz thinly sliced deli ham
  • 6 oz spicy pepperoni
  • ½ cup diced jarred roasted red bell peppers
  • ½ cup pepperoncini or banana pepper rings
  • ¼ teaspoon coarse ground black pepper For seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 large egg, beaten For egg wash

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Dice enough roasted red bell peppers to measure ½ cup. Measure out ½ cup of pepperoncini rings. Pat both dry using paper towels, then toss them in a small bowl with ¼ teaspoon of coarse ground black pepper. Set aside.
Assembly
  1. Unroll the crescent rolls and separate them into individual triangles. On a round pizza pan or stone, arrange the crescent rolls in a circle with the wide ends overlapping in the center, forming a ring.
  2. Place the halved Provolone slices around the overlapping wide end of the crescent triangles. Top with folded slices of ham, a layer of pepperoni, and then the pepper mixture. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
  3. Fold the pointed ends of the crescent triangles up and over the filling, tucking the tips under the center of the ring to secure. Brush the dough with the beaten egg and sprinkle with additional black pepper if desired.
Baking
  1. Bake the ring in the preheated oven for 18–22 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  2. Let it cool for 5 minutes before serving so the filling sets a bit.

Notes

Serve warm on a large platter. Add a side salad or roasted vegetables for a balanced meal. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
